Traces: Skipton’s History in Focus

Step into Skipton’s past through the eyes of 27 professional artists from across the Craven District. Traces – Skipton’s History in Focus is a captivating new exhibition celebrating the town’s rich heritage, brought to life through original artworks depicting its most iconic historic landmarks.

This collaborative project between Craven Arts and Skipton Civic Society invites visitors to explore the layers of local history embedded in architecture, green spaces, and everyday details that often go unnoticed. Each piece offers a unique perspective on the town’s evolving story—past, present, and future.

Lunchtime Talks with Skipton Civic Society

To complement the exhibition, Skipton Civic Society will host a series of free illustrated talks at Craven Arts House, every Wednesday at 12:30pm throughout the exhibition. Bring your lunch, settle in, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while discovering fascinating insights into Skipton’s built and natural heritage.
