Pride Special Line-up
MC – Kate McCabe
Kate McCabe has been gigging on this side of the Atlantic for several years after starting her comedy career in NYC. She also performs with improv troupe ComedySportz Manchester and regularly appears on Fab Radio’s THE GAY AGENDA and on Gaydio’s THE EXCHANGE. When she’s not working, she enjoys comic books, Playstation, snacking, and nap-time.
Bethany Black
Bethany Black is a British stand up comedian and is often described as ‘Britain’s only goth, lesbian, transexual comedian.’ Her debut show ‘Beth becomes her’ detailed the story of her being transgender, chronicling everything from her coming out through her transition and eventually falling in love. It was nominated for Best Debut at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2008, eventually loosing out to Sarah Millican. She has performed alongside some of the biggest names in comedy including Allan Carr, Sarah Millican, Tim Minchin and Rhys Darby. Decidedly dark and deliciously different, an evening with Bethany Black is a one way ticket to a world you never knew existed!
Dan Tiernan
The aspiring comic Dan Tiernan has won several titles including The Comedy Stores King Gong and winner of the Beat The Frog Series. He was also a finalist in this year’s Leicester Mercury Comedian of the year. Dan has also dabbled in DJ’ing, being a magician, a dinner man and currently works in a care home for young asylum seekers. Come and see him before he hits the big time/gives up and blames everyone else!
Ada Campe
As the alter-ego and mischievous creation of theatrical academic Naomi Paxton, character comedian and magician Ada Campe’s performances are true variety at it’s very best, rife with the absurd and the outlandish, mystery and intrigue and unabashed, pure comedy. Campe employs her considerable charm to recruit audience members to aid her in her flights of fancy and to join her in a concluding dance.
