A psychological thriller from the team behind Communicate (“A beautiful tapestry about life”, Oldham Reporter). Written by the current recipient of the Cheshire Prize for Literature, whose work has been performed on the BBC and has toured nationally.
The Last Motel is directed by JMK Regional Bursary recipient, Marcus Bazley. With set design by Evening Standard x TikTok Future Theatre Fund Award Winner and double Stage Award nominee, Caitlin Mawhinney.
Sheepish Productions is a South Yorkshire-based theatre company that creates new work for touring across the UK. They aim to form an honest emotional connection with their audiences. Their work is rooted in themes of grief, trauma, mental health and the vulnerability of the human condition. Their work is issue based but approached with a dark sense of humour, the desire to question, provoke and surprise. They have been supported by Cast, Slung Low, Theatre Deli and Sheffield Theatres. Their shows have been performed at venues across the UK, including: Cast, The Carriageworks, Seven Arts, The Everyman Cheltenham and Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds.
