You’ll experience a full range of orchestral colour and emotion in this concert.

We venture into the wolf’s glen with the overture to Weber’s opera, Der Freischütz, or ‘The Marksman’, based on romantic German folk-tales.

Don’t miss the chance to hear our principal cellist Bob Buller, playing Elgar’s lament for a world lost after the First World War, his Cello Concerto in E minor.

We return to the world of witchery and spirits with Grieg’s ever-popular Peer Gynt Suite No.1.
