Echoes of the Landscape an Exhibition by Brian Burton

Brian sees himself in the tradition of Romantic British painters who have a particular affinity to the Yorkshire countryside. This new body of work develops themes of hedgerows, water courses and rock faces.  The majority of these paintings have not been shown beyond the walls of his studio. These are complex images which will reward patient scrutiny.

Having trained for seven years at some of the countries most prestigious universities Burton went on to lecture in drawing and design for nine years whilst simultaneously freelancing and painting.

He designed for the Yorkshire textile industry for 30 years in roles from studio designer to Design Director . Has exhibited widely and has paintings and designs in many private and corporate collections across Europe, North America and the UK.
