Sounds of Skipton – Mini Musicmakers

We are thrilled to announce ‘Sounds of Skipton: Mini Musicmakers’—an immersive, open-air music workshop coming to the Skipton Amphitheatre this May! 

We’ve partnered with Craven Academy of Modern Music to deliver this brand new workshop, which invites children aged 4–11 to discover the ‘Heartbeat of the Dales.’

Using a unique ‘Open D’ tuning, the team will make string instruments accessible for everyone—from first-time strummers to mini-maestros.

Through the echoes of the fiddle, the resonance of acoustic guitars, and the rhythm of the springs, our local “Mini Musicmakers” will weave together a new anthem for our historic market town.
