KVU Singers and Perfect Fourth Saxophone Quartet

KVU Singers and Perfect Fourth Saxophone Quartet are getting together again to perform a concert at 7.30pm on Saturday 22nd November at Christ Church, Skipton.

Perfect Fourth Saxophone Quartet will perform a varied mix of jazz, classical and modern music. Diana, James, Kate and Pete will present a varied programme which includes music by Charlie Parker, Irving Berlin and Henry Mancini as well as a premiere of a piece written by Kate Isaac and new arrangements made by members of the band.

KVU singers have a reputation for excellent choral singing with well balanced part singing and a rich tone. They will sing anthems for advent and songs from early music to modern. Favourites include Arthur Sullivan’s The Long Day Closes and Eric Whitacre’s Seal Lullaby.

Perfect Fourth will begin the concert with the Overture from Handel’s Messiah followed by a joint performance of ‘And the Glory of the Lord’.

The concert starts at 7.30pm, doors open at 7pm.
