An impressive walk in the Southern Dales, this route takes in some impressive scenery including Janet’s Foss, Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. Much more than a walk, this is a feast for the eyes and senses, and a must for history enthusiasts.
Stunning limestone scenery awaits, as does evidence of early settlements, medieval fields and mining sites. If you take this route in spring or summer time you can expect an abundance of wildlife. Bird watchers especially will appreciate the waterbirds at Malham tarn, moorland birds on the higher ground and not forgetting a possible sighting of Peregrine Falcons at Malham Cove.
