Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway
The Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway (E&BASR) was formed in 1968 and re-opened in 1981. The preserved railway was part of the former Midland Railway route from Skipton to Ilkley. The E&BASR currently runs for 4 miles (6 km) from Embsay station to Bolton Abbey station.
Refreshments are available in the tearooms at Bolton Abbey and Embsay stations. Both feature gift shops, including the famous bookshop at Embsay station. There are picnic areas at all stations, including Holywell Halt, with facilities for the disabled at Bolton Abbey station. Ample free parking is available at both Embsay and Bolton Abbey stations.
Regular services run throughout the year, along with some special services, see the website for details.
