DESCRIPTION:\nJoin Bradford’s historic award-winning choir, together with line-up of professional soloists who have performed with many of the UK’s biggest Opera companies, for a journey through some of opera’s greatest and most loved choruses and arias, including Verdi’s Va Pensiero, Mascagni’s Easter Hymn and Bizet’s Habanera.\n\n\nUsing the evening’s music to create a unique operatic story, the choir will take audiences on an exciting adventure, setting sail for a journey of discovery, peril, sadness and joy…\nConducted by Assistant Musical Director, Christopher Pulleyn, a collaborative pianist & répétiteur who works with Opera North, Leeds Conservatoire & Royal Northern College of Music who has worked with the choir since 2010.\nAbout the Choir\nBradford Festival Choral Society (shortlisted for the 2023 Royal Philharmonic Society Awards) was founded in 1856, after being put together as a temporary group for the opening of Bradford’s St George’s Hall in 1853.
