SUMMARY:Pretzels for Dinner by Janet Shaw (Comedy)
DESCRIPTION:Bill liked three things: the racing, a pint and getting his own way. Anne liked a tidy house. After thirty-five years of marriage, it worked well enough. Then one Saturday afternoon, Bill’s horse came in and Bill went out, permanently, still clutching his betting slip.\nNow Anne has a drawer full of unopened bills, no idea where Bill kept his money, and two grown-up children who would rather argue about the will than wash a cup. Auntie Irene is circling. And Hilary from next door, a woman who has never met a feather boa she didn’t like, has made Anne her latest project.\nWhen Anne starts living for herself, and spending time with a much younger classmate called Tom, nobody quite knows what to make of it. Least of all Anne.\nPretzels For Dinner is a bitter sweet comedy by Janet Shaw. It is rude, warm, and very funny, with plenty of heart. Please note the play contains strong language and adult humour, and is suitable for adults only.\nDirected by Jacqui Whiteley.\nTuesday 20th to Saturday 24th April 2027. Evenings 7.30pm (doors 7.00pm). Saturday matinee 2.00pm (doors 1.30pm).\nTickets £12 (adults only). Included in the £48 2027 Season Pass.\nBook online at TicketSource or call 0333 666 3366 (booking fee applies).\nAn amateur production by arrangement with Stagescripts Ltd\n
