SUMMARY:Autumn Afternoon – Painted Living Garments
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by Luke and Joan’s current exhibition at Skipton Town Hall, ‘Painted Living Garments’, you will learn and develop skills in drawing or painting the clothed figure, focusing on colour and pattern within the garment, and how to translate a harmonious painting.\nThis will be autumn themed, with expressive use of brushwork to capture pattern and movement.\nThe model will be wearing one of Joan’s garments, where pattern, design and composition will be established in different mediums.\nBy the end of the session you will understand harmonious colour and the form of the figure in painting and drawing using expressive design and composition.\nPlease bring with you your choice of painting materials such as paints, brushes, and canvas/canvas paper, mineral spirits OR acrylic and gouache, and suitable paper and brushes for these mediums.\n
