DESCRIPTION:Step into the wild this May half term as the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway is transformed into a Safari Express – a magical train adventure full of exotic creatures, jungle thrills, and unforgettable moments!\nBegin your journey at Bolton Abbey Station, where you’ll be greeted by jungle explorers, animatronic beasts, slithering snakes, tropical birds, and more.\nEnjoy a jungle-themed show bursting with music, movement, and audience participation—expect surprises, roars, and maybe even a cheeky monkey or two! Then, board the train for further jungle adventures down to Embsay!\nA short stop at Embsay gives you time to stretch your legs, take photos, or grab a snack.\nReturn to Bolton Abbey on the same jungle train.\nEvery child receives a jungle goody bag full of themed treats and activities to enjoy during the ride and take home as a memento.\nDon’t forget your camera—there’ll be photo ops with costumed characters, jungle backdrops, and maybe even your new animal pals.\n \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION\n\nArrive at Bolton Abbey Station (BD23 6AF) 20 minutes before the show time as shown on your ticket.\nBoard the steam train at the booked train time.\nThere is a choice to grab some refreshments from the cafe at Bolton Abbey whilst you wait.\nWell-behaved dogs are allowed on the train, however please bear in mind this is a children’s event, so your dog must be child-friendly.\n\nDATES\nMay 23rd, 24th & 25th 2026.\nTRAIN TIMES\nShow times are 10:15, 11:45, 13:15 ad 15:00.  Trains leave Bolton Abbey at 10:40, 12:10, 13:40 and 15:25.\nFARES\nAdults – £16\nConcessions (65 years +) – £15\nChildren – £13\nFamily of Four (2 adults, 2 children) – £49\nDisabled Person with Carer – £15 (call to book if wheelchair access is required).\nDogs – £3\nDURATION\nApproximately 2 hours\n
